Divine Atelier 2017 moves from the light, fairy-tale like couture designs they were known for in the past to a romantic minimalism, with a fresh, modern take on free-spirited Bohemia. Romanian designer Luminita Cosleacara flexes a more delicate designer muscle for this year’s offering, with ultra-feminine, fluid lines made couture with strong, graphic lace and unconventional elements like oversized bell sleeves, sheer high necks and seductive low backs.
A dreamy, 70s vibe is made palpable with the unison of cut and fabric, where the unorthodox idea of ‘bohemian luxe’ really takes form. We find every gown in the collection ultra dreamy – these are dresses for a cosmopolitan bride who is looking to create an effortlessly romantic look for her Big Day. She is enchanting and elegant, deep yet carefree, a mature maverick.
